We arrived in Managua capital of Nicaragua and decide after a good look at the city to keep moving towards Granada.
The road was brillian not to hilly and with amazing scenary of vulcans and lakes.
Nicaragua has 27 vulcane and loats of lake but the two biggest are lake de Masaya and lake de Nicaragua.
Granada is a city with the most spanish influence lots of the building remind you of colonian house in Spain and is all is very colorful.
It s pretty safe and people are super helpful as i said before really wish the kids were here as they would finally appreciate what they have and how fortunate they are, said that there isnt a nicaraguan kids that isnt smiling!!!
Love that houses have open doors that give you the view of a beautiful garden or atrium inside is like a place inside another!
Here we decide to study a bit of spanish or improve it and live with a nicaraguan family.
The school is super helpful and we loved the lessons, one can exchange english for spanish, which makes it a lots cheaper.
We went to visit the vulcan Masaya who is active but no lava i am afraid, night tour was super fun and we met really cool guys.
We decide to take another vulcan the Munbacho super cool riserva but inactive but with great views and canopy tour nearby which was crazyyyyyyyyyy super high and very difficult for a tiny but fat girl( u have to jump for hook urself to the zip line while u on the hedge) but the guides were super experts and help like mad!!!
We are now at our final day with the family and their little boy Matteo which is sad but i cannot wait to see the island of Ometepe and then san jose sur where the turles are.
At the moment i am typing from the Laguna de Apoyo an old crate with crista clear water and very misterious atmosfere( well for me..... I cannot see the bottom of the lake due to the depth and the fact that is vulcanic sand so black)!!!!
Will write a following post about Ometepe but for now i loved Nicaragua the people and the food definately a place to come back!!!
